TUCSON AUGUST 2009 REAL ESTATE STATISTICS

July was the busiest month year to date. August was down -17.23% according to Kimberly Clifton, MLS president. The  good news is that pending contracts are up 3.83% over July's and up 45.1% for August 2008.

Broken down by type, there were 817 single family residences sold in August; 67 townhomes, 55 condos, 33 manufactured homes and 8 mobile homes sold.

This year the most homes sold were in the $200,000 to $249,999 range. Next in line were $300,000 to $399,999. The range in between were fewer. Interesting.

Anti-Aging Product

I'm back with a market trend for anti-aging that you Baby Boomers should love. My daughter says it really works so I am anxious to try it. This company has been around a long time but have an exclusive product that has positive and negative ions to put their creams deep into your skin with an electrical charge. They are in 48 countries with this fountain of youth. Let me know if any of you men and women are interested in hearing more.

THE POINT OF NO RETURN

According to the real estate outlook as reported in Realty Times, the BOTTOM has past. So for those of you waiting to buy when real estate bottoms out, you waited too long. As early as June the Standard&Poor's Case-Shiller index found prices up. That's their first reported gain in 3 years.

The Arizona Daily Star had an article that Foreclosures have stabilized in Arizona. So there is good news out there and there are lots of homes to buy at good prices.

And I an here to help you.

TO BLOG OR NOT TO BLOG (TO B OR NOT TO B

As a real estate professional for several years, technology is quickly changing. It seems that if blogging is the way to go, should I also buy websites? I have two at present which is costly. Blogging is free but it takes so much time.

There are classes available on social networking. I hope to take one before long but I am already on Linked In to network with other professionals, Facebook to network with my family and friends, and Twitter to reach the community.

Or should I be going out into the big wide world to meet more people in person who might need my excellent services. I would think I could gather trust more rapidly one on one in person.

I will keep my web sites and also post blogs at this time until I learn that one works better than the other, i.e., blogging, web sites and person to person. I am open to suggestions from others who have tried these.
